Delighted to report that Jim
and Sly Cooper made a triumphant return to Western Nationals
after last year's EHV-1 diagnosis. They marked a 218 in the
first go in the $5k Nov/NP!
El Rancho Spring Classic -
Congratulations to Pink Scorpion and Jim Stamper for a first
place and two fourth place finishes in the $35,000 Non-Pro.
Jim and SH Royal Red Mecom paired up for a first place
finish in the Non-Pro Derby on April 22. Sugar Badger Boon
carried Jim to a first place and a second place finish in
the $50k Amateur. Thank you to Carol Ward for a wonderful
show and to Rock Hedlund, Gavin Jordan, and Steve
Schlesinger for all of your help!
4/6 - 4/8/2012 - Nevada
Reined Cow and Cutting Horse Assoc: Congratulations to Pink
Scorpion and Jim Stamper winning the $35k Non-Pro all 3
days! SH Royal Red Mecom and Jim teamed up to take a first
and a second place finish in the Non-Pro Derby, Jim and
Pretty Little Redhead partnered for two first place finishes
in the $5k Novice Non-Pro, and Sugar Badger Boon rounded out
the show with a first place finish in the $50k Amateur!
Thank you to all of our help, and special thanks to Rock
Hedlund. We would also like to thank the association for the
Easter Egg Hunt for the children. It was a fantastic
weekend!!
Congratulations to Jim and
SH Royal Red Mecom for their Reserve Championship in the
$50k Amateur Derby at the Pacific Coast Derby as well as
First place in the $25k Amateur Derby and first Place in the
$50k Amateur Gelding division. Jim and Pink Scorpion took a
Top Five finish in the $35,000 Non-Pro held during the PCCHA
Derby.
March 10, 2012 - Stober Livestock, Madera, CA - Congratulations to
Joey Kinser and SH Royal Red Mecom on their first place
finish in the Open Derby! Thanks to Nancy Stober for a
fantastic show and we love the new arena!
03/03/2012: Kern County
Cutting Horse Assoc - Jim and Pink Scorpion scoring a second
place in the 35k Non-Pro, Jim and SH Royal Red Mecom taking
second in the Non-Pro Derby, and Jim and Sugar Badger Boon
take a second place finish in the $50k Am. Another great
weekend in Bakersfield with great cows and fantastic
friends. A special thank you to Rock Hedlund and Gavin
Jordan for all of their help in our successful shows!
02/23/12: Arizona Cutting Horse Assoc-Jim and Pink
Scorpion took first place in the $35k Non-Pro, Jim and Sugar
Badger Boon took second place in the $50k Am, and Joey and
SH Royal Red Mecom take second place in the Open Derby.
02/24/12: AZCHA-Joey and SH Royal Red Mecom take first
place in the Open Derby and Jim and Sugar Badger Boon take
third in the Non-Pro.
02/25/12: AZCHA- Jim and SH Royal Red Mecom take second
in the Non-Pro Derby, Jim and Pink Scorpion take first in
the $ 35k Non-Pro.

February 11, 2012: What a
fantastic weekend for Team Stamper! Beautiful weather, great
cows, and spectacular friends. Jim and Sugar Badger Boon
took 1st place in the Non-Pro and 2nd place in the $50k Am.
Jim and SH Royal Red Mecom took 1st place in the Non-Pro
Derby. Our three-year olds were fantastic in the practice
pen and are enjoying the opportunity to get off the ranch!

P.S. Our son, Matthew, took second at his wrestling
tournament on Saturday. It was his first tournament
wrestling varsity!

Coast Cutting Horse Assoc- Jim and Sugar Badger Boon win the
Non-Pro, Jim and SH Royal Red Mecom take reserve in the
Non-Pro Derby, Jim and Pretty Lil Redhead take reserve in
the $35k Non-Pro and 3rd in the $5k Novice Non-Pro! A
spectacular show for "Team Stamper"! Thank you to everyone
who helped!
We will be at the Kern County Cutting Horse Show in
Bakersfield on Feb 11. We are taking our 3-yr olds and will
be working them in the practice pen on Friday and Saturday.
We look forward to seeing everyone!

the $5000 Novice Non-Pro and reserve in the $50k Amateur.
January 21, 2012: Double R

Non-Pro.

Kern County Cutting Horse Association's 3-day show on
October 7-9, 2011:
SH
Royal Red Mecom and Jim Stamper made a successful debut
together in the non-pro futurity classes-placing first on
the first and third days and placing second on the second
day. Three trips to the herd and three checks...doesn't get
much better! Jim and Sugar Badger Boon also had a successful
showing in the $50k Am with two first place finishes. The
weekend was rounded-out with Jim and Pretty Lil Redhead
earning a second place finish on day 3 in the 5/6 Non-Pro.

Stamper Haven is proud to announce that Sly Cooper has
made a full recovery and returned to show form. His breeding
responsibilities will keep his show time limited this year,
but we are ecstatic that he has been able to return to full
form!
